A cell is referring to how the data is packaged up for transmission at the ATM layer.

So I'd presume a drop (or dropped) cell is one that fails to make it or arrives so corrupted it cannot be repaired.

The ATM link is the DSL link between your router/modem and the exchange equipment.

I recently had some work done to my line which has boosted my noise margin up and stopped (so far) CRC errors.

So how will this affect my performance (The Drop Cells)?

At those levels - 5K in about 32 million - I wouldn't have thought they will be making any appreciable difference.

Okay smile

When I saw the errors I got a bit worried because I thought I eliminated all errors but your figures look good smile

Cheers for your help

A bit weird - It's still at 5550 and the connection has downloaded a ton of data with no errors still crazy

Could this be a fixed variable?

That just means no more cells have been dropped. It's a good thing! smile
