MaxDSL - goes as fast as it can and doesn't read the line checker first.

Similar results on all lines and with different hubs, here are my stats. As I dont use wireless or gigabit I will stick with hub2 for now. The extra umph in the hub 3 will come in handy on fibre but the adsl modem does seem like an after thought / cost reduction measure rather than as performance thoughtful as the hub 2 was.

Homehub 2:

ADSL line status
Connection information
Line state Connected
Connection time 9 days, 15:51:57
Downstream 5,315 Kbps
Upstream 446 Kbps
ADSL settings
VPI/VCI 0/38
Type PPPoA
Modulation ITU-T G.992.5
Latency type Interleaved
Noise margin (Down/Up) 6.0 dB / 5.2 dB
Line attenuation (Down/Up) 56.0 dB / 32.9 dB
Output power (Down/Up) 19.4 dBm / 12.0 dBm
Loss of Framing (Local) 35
Loss of Signal (Local) 3
Loss of Power (Local) 0
FEC Errors (Down/Up) 355263109 / 5928
CRC Errors (Down/Up) 2333 / 2147480000
HEC Errors (Down/Up) nil / 2642
Error Seconds (Local) 2806

Homehub 3 after 2 resets (same speed on each sync):

Connection Information

Line state: Connected
Connection time: 0 days, 00:02:17
Downstream: 4.678 Mbps
Upstream: 446.4 Kbps

ADSL Settings

VPI/VCI: 0/38
Type: PPPoA
Modulation: G.992.5 Annex A
Latency type: Interleaved
Noise margin (Down/Up): 6.1 dB / 19.2 dB
Line attenuation (Down/Up): 55.0 dB / 32.3 dB
Output power (Down/Up): 19.1 dBm / 12.5 dBm
FEC Events (Down/Up): 926 / 35581
CRC Events (Down/Up): 1 / 6533
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
HEC Events (Down/Up): 0 / 2659
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 1 / 5547

Homeub2 after playing with 3:

Connection information
Line state Connected
Connection time 0 days, 0:01:32
Downstream 5,187 Kbps
Upstream 444 Kbps
ADSL settings
VPI/VCI 0/38
Type PPPoA
Modulation ITU-T G.992.5
Latency type Interleaved
Noise margin (Down/Up) 6.1 dB / 14.3 dB
Line attenuation (Down/Up) 56.5 dB / 33.3 dB
Output power (Down/Up) 19.4 dBm / 12.0 dBm
Loss of Framing (Local) 0
Loss of Signal (Local) 0
Loss of Power (Local) 0
FEC Errors (Down/Up) 25541 / 0
CRC Errors (Down/Up) 0 / 2147480000
HEC Errors (Down/Up) nil / 2668
Error Seconds (Local) 0

Best achieved (low snr) on homehub2 a few weeks ago now:

ADSL line status
Connection information
Line state Connected
Connection time 0 days, 15:37:53
Downstream 6,073 Kbps
Upstream 540 Kbps
ADSL settings
VPI/VCI 0/38
