quick speed check

Hi..

currently with Bt broadband, getting 5.5mb.

sky just got equipment in local exchange so was looking to change to the upto 20mb from them
did the online check and it says max speed will be 3mb( not right surely).

line stats as follows

could anyone estimate what speed i would get with sky.

Rate: 5376 kbs 448 kbs
Max Rate: 5376 kbs 1004 kbs
Noise Margin: 9.0 dB 23.0 dB
Attenuation: 42.0 dB 27.0 dB
Output Power: 19.8 dBm 12.2 dBm

http://www.dslzoneuk.net/maxspeed2.php suggests 6-10 Mbps.

The estimates are just that, when you have a model telling you that you are connected at 5376 which do you think you should be believe?

The actual hardware, or an estimate probably produced from some old paper records?
