Severe Packet Loss issues

[link to this post]

Hi

I'm new to this site which I've only recently found after trying to work out what is going on this my broadband service.

I have the quality meter running which is showing huge bursts of packet loss. Has anyone any ideas where on earth I start.

My Broadband Ping

The problem started about ten days ago and I get these packet loss periods at various times of the day and/or evening. Not every day - I can go two or three days without anything.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Post your router stats. See http://kitz.co.uk/adsl/frogstats.php

Thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately my router is not listed there. I have the DGN2200. I'm not at home this evening so I cannot log into it.

Entering the url http://192.168.0.1/RST_stattbl.htm into your browser should get you to the router's status page (as long as the default router address is being used).

Hi Susan, it'll make it easier, and friendlier if you register.

As well as your router stats, any other info, such as downa and up speeds, sync and profile speeds if known. It all helps.

Also the ISP and package might give a touch of insight, considering the problem seemed to kick off at 9am (in this instance).

Could be something like the problems i had, a local business and it's daily activities being responsible, it also maybe the router and it's inability to deal with noise interference on the line, as well as being something within the isp's control & it's equipment
