My 1st phone line doesn't work now

[link to this post]

An openreach engineer visited my house today to put talktalk on my 2nd line. At first he thought that there was going to be just one broadband connection. He had taken the sky phone/broadband off of the first socket and replaced it with the talktalk connection, Then i told him that I am paying for two lines, he then switched the talktalk to the 2nd line and left the 1st line with nothing.

Now their is no phone (dial tone) and broadband on the 1st line.

So for basically right now:

Line #1 - No dial tone/broadband
Line #2 - Talktalk phone & broadband

It should be:

Line #1 - Sky Broadband & Phone
Line #2 - Talktalk phone & broadband

I don't want a charge for having my 1st line putting back on, what should I do?

Sky will now cease your BB cuz your line is disconnected.

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU BB => 2010: Orange 19 Meg Tweaked / 16 Meg Untweaked LLU BB

might not, If this was a completely seperate order for a new talk talk circuit and nothing to do with sky he can just call sky and raise a fault.

I would say TT should fix it rather than Sky as it was TT that effectively broke it (albeit their sub-contractor). Presumably the connectivity is still in place at the exchange and it is a disconnect somewhere along the way (if it was removed at the exchange as well then I suspect this will become a long drawn out saga).
