Line error rates

[link to this post]

I've just been moved over the ADSL2+ and put on Interleave, on checking my router stats I'm on a 6db profile and synced at 11mbit, I have almost 3 million FEC errors and 543 errored seconds in just under an hour and a half.

Other than the error counts being scarily high, there doesn't appear to be any actual problem, In comparison on my old IPStream line I had 80 errored seconds in a day at 15db SNR.

Should I only be concerned if the line is actually disconnecting?

If throughput is reasonable and gaming is ok then perhaps not much to worry about.

I presume your attenuation is around the 40dB mark?

So not pushing the line too hard, I'd look at my internal wiring to try and reduce error count, even if I was seeing no side effects (i.e. slow speeds)

I'm plugged into the test socket of the master so there is no internal wiring to affect things.

It's as good as it's going to get I think!
