WBC interleave upload speeds

[link to this post]

It appears that a number of users find they have an upstream sync of 888kbps when interleaved on WBC ADSL2+. Is this always the case?

If so, anyone know what the justification is, and when this was introduced, as by now I would have thought it would be common knowledge?

Yet Plusnet forum here is the prime source of the suggestion. Start here, and Metronet_James's reply soon after. Which is why I'm asking the question in this forum.

Plus XRaySpex contribution about White Label for Orange.

There has never been an explanation of their 440kbps rather than 448kbps either. Looks like simlar oddity to me.

After a bit of trouble down at the exchange grin, Orange, using WBC, reconnected me on Interleaved (as I've been insisting of them for ages):
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 18272 kbps 1156 kbps
Line Attenuation 26.0 db 13.5 db
Noise Margin 4.3 db 6.2 db

D: 96 4
Now getting similar Up Syncs to Fast Path; was 888 K last time I was on Interleaved.

Interleaved is far less prone to errors, but is slightly slower than Fast path.

Hi, from my experience on 21CN WBC the upstream rate stays at around 1100Kbps for interleaved and fast path and it seems to change automatically from fast path to interleaved. At present it is interleaved next week it could change to fast path.
