Recommendation on new ISP

[link to this post]

Hi, we live in a rural location so ADSL only - noone has fibre or any kit in our local exchange. Currently with plus net achieving 2.2mb download on a good day but have 80gb max allowance. With movies etc I really want to move to an unlimited service but struggling to find anything under about £35 per month. Ideally seeking a short term contract but not essential. Have looked at th main guys and nothing seems to fit. Any recommendations plse?

This should work with your Sky Talk phone. Picked a bad time to sign up for that perhaps? tongue smile.

How good or bad this is I have no idea.

Looks like you have to move line rental now - just asked their live support as could not find a BB only package

BT Retail has been bundled line and broadband, for new broadband supply at least, for quite some time Andrew. Obviously it is possible to have line only with (nearly?) any SMPFor BT Wholesale broadband supplier.

I have to admit I was quite taken aback when I found out relatively recently.

There was a small time, while if you dug hard enough around their site you could still find a BB only bundle.

Just checking as these things tend to vanish and surface quietly

Yes, you're right. I found that to be the case as well.

That's why I didn't really believe it when people said you had to have a BT Retail line.
