Interesting information on the BT Website:

"'Up to' speeds are based on the technology used to deliver broadband to your home and are faster at peak times."

Meaning ADSL2+ delivers up to 16 Meg off-peak and up to 20 Meg at peak?

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 19 Meg WBC

Perhaps BT have discovered a new phenomenon, whereby the extra traffic at peak times lubricates the wires and speeds up the data. smile
