Protected card on Digital Camera

[link to this post]

Not sure if this is the correct forum but I have a Fujifilm Finepix S5700 digital camera and for some reason when I try to use this particullar card I get the mesage "protected card".
It will not allow any function and I have tried the section for this message but cannot sort it.
My other cards work correctly and give me no problems.
Appreciate any assistance.

Have you checked you haven't actually locked it - it's easy to do that accidentally

As in the very small lock tab the cards have

when I try to use this particular card I get the message "protected card".
From what? The camera itself when you use it? Then the camera or card (newly purchased?) is faulty. And this Q would be better in Camera Forum.

Or from PC when you try to read what's on it? Then it must have some small lockable tab on it.
