If there is spare cable at the master socket end on that extension lead you can cut the plug off the end, remove the master faceplate, and wire a matching pair
direct to terminals 2 and 5, as in this pic
, if your master is the type in that pic.
Best to fit an extension socket to it upstairs, wiring the same pair to the terminals, so T2 >> T2 and T5 >> T5. (Not

You will need an IDC/Krone tool
which is used to push the wires into the IDC connectors. (You don't strip the insulation off, the IDC connections cut through it when you push the wire in with the tool.
A much neater job than now downstairs. What sort of arrangemnt is the upstairs end at the moment?
