Yes line is running well below what should be possible, the errors suggest maybe extension wiring, or ring wire may be an issue.

Have they taken any measures to improve the state of the telephone wiring in the property, and test at the master sockets test socket yet?

thank you for your reply.

he is directly into the master socket and has tried in test socket previous, but stats stayed the same, also with new filters . there is no ring wire when taking the faceplate off the master socket, many thanks

Are there any telephone extensions, and does he use a plug-in extension cable to the master?

best to post the stats from the test socket, and also review the wiring to ensure there is nothing between the incoming line and the test socket - including bells, alarms, junction boxes, unofficial extensions etc.

I get twice the speed off a slightly lower attenuation

MaxDSL - goes as fast as it can and doesn't read the line checker first.

many thanks for everyone's help so far.

he does not have any telephone extensions or a plug-in extension . he has his router directly connected to the master socket . he has the one socket in the house

we plugged into test socket last night but i did not pull the stats . i did notice the downstream go to just under 3000kbps, i assume this was because the router synced at night.

i will have to get the stats from test socket and post back, thank you
