21CN vs CPW LLU

[link to this post]

My exchange now has CPW LLU along with Sky and BT 21CN.

21CN is great, i've gained about 2.5Mb in sync speed and my line is running fine on a 3db SNR.

I've got interleaving forced to ON as the line gets a bit noisey at night.

Unfortunately this means my upload speed is 888kbps and I could do with a bit more speed.

Is there anyway on CPW with a reseller an ISP could interleave the downstream but put the upstream on fast path? Apparently this cannot be done on 21CN.

Thanks.

Both are available @ Wolves, but CPW = TT!

Sure wolvesmad knows the diff.

CPW != TT since 2003.

I would not expect there to be any difference. I was on a reseller using the CPW LLU at 3db, so you will not get anything faster (in my opinion). Its wait for FTTC.

In reply to a post by RobertoS:
CPW != TT since 2003.
You mean 2010!
It (TalkTalk) was founded in 2003 as a subsidiary of The Carphone Warehouse plc and was demerged as a standalone company in March 2010.
But in the context of BB networks, this discussion, they are one and the same.

888k upstream on 21CN generally means you've been interleaved too.

There isn't anyway on TTB kit to set different interleaving paths.

Thanks for that. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it was an option on Be LLU, just wondered if it was an option on TT.

There is nothing to gain anymore going from 21CN to TT LLU is there??

3db margin on 21CN and the lines run at 88% now.

I get a 1022Kbps upstream sync on my uno "pro" TTB (CPW) partial LLU interleaved line BUT have a 6dB SNRM on downstream - it may be possible to run with a 3dB SNRM and gain some downstream speed, however I'm happy with ~13000Kbps on a 37dB attenuation smile
