This is what my ping looks like. Any opinions why I am spiking a lot? It's really affecting my ability to play online games.

The usual reason is

1. You are downloading something else on the connection at the same time
or
2. There is congestion somewhere between your router and our ping tool

I know it's not due to downloading. What tests could I run to find out where the congestion is?

Didn't that have the URLs of the routers as well? They make it much easier to analyse as often the "location" of a problem area isn't easily seen without it. Finding out who the IP address belongs to is simple but a pain, and even that isn't sufficient info.

Having said that, hop 5 looks to be within Plusnet, but is an intermittent slowness as the later ones are normal. That tracert shows no significant issues.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 53.4/16.8Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Yeah for some reason tracert doesnt show domain names only IP for some reason. Is that normal?

If the tracert is fine, what could be the problem?

Here's a ping graph of my connection http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/282/0kxz.jpg

Re what the problem may be, are you running wired to the router or wireless? How many others are using your router at the same time? What else are you running at the same time?

Try using WinMTR have it running while your in-game then the average for one node or more will be higher on average and give you min/max value as well to that server.

It turns out its the other tenants using the internet. However, it seems recently the overall speed has decreased.

According to my speed it seems like it's below average? Am I being throttled?
