My download is worse than upload !?

[link to this post]

I'm an O2/sky customer and recently my broadband connection seems to have become appallingly bad. I have just run a number of speed tests and they show that my download speed (0.6mbs !) is worse than my upload speed (0.8mbs)

any ideas?

Hmmm, just cycled the power to it and a dramatic improvement. Now just over 3mbs download. Should have tried that earlier I guess. Wonder what was going on?

Had any thunderstorms within a few miles? They often cause that, and a power cycle of the modem/router is the simplest and best fix.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 55.8/14.5Mbps @ 600m. - BQM
