Kindle fire 'mayday'

[link to this post]

Anybody else seen this stupid advert?

They should be taken to task here, as "just point it at your TV, and click the icon, now get back to your friends" type nonsense is utter b******s.

Fools to the slaughter.

I dunno. See the advert. There is no technical stuff involved, just 'point it at your TV' type stuff.

Well, here's a full load:

Sorry, didn't read them.

The advert on UK TV is similar, but what I find is there is no explanation - so people will buy this and expect it to work 'automagically' with their TV, let alone having a wireless set-up anyway in the first place. And we all know how bad that is from the forums here.

A terrible misleading advert.

http://www.asa.org.uk is where to head, particularly if the firm itself does not respond directly.

Yes, indeed. But being English (stiff upper lip and all that), I will not complain.

I just feel sorry for the people that will buy one from the seeing the advert (sheeple?).

Does the UK TV advert state that anywhere?

I'm sure it does at the bottom towards the end

'TV must be MiraCast Enabled'

I could be wrong as I have also seen the US ad when watching american channel
