Who or where to ask about fiber

[link to this post]

I was just wondering if there was an address or webpage to get more info on when fiber was coming to my cabinet. Many cabinets in my local area have been done but there seems to be no information on mine and no information on where I can find out.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone is able to provide. I have tried btwholesale.com with no luck. The exchange is ESDAL and is accepting orders but even my ISP is no use (not surprising considering its Orange, sorry EE).

Thanks for the link but it just takes me to the same thing as the link I posted previously, giving no useful information.

You can check BT Openreach's plans here: www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when

Which cabinet does the checkers say you are connected to?

The majority of cabinets offer FTTC or are about to, but a good handful have no plans as yet, and that is where the Superfast Scotland plans come into it, and they may be the people who decide whether you get it or not.

Looks to be a very small cabinet with a handful of customers, potentially expensive to enable per customer.

Thus my guess would be it will miss out on the initial run of 85% fibre based coverage in Scotland, and might with luck make it into the 95%, but I would say 50/50 even then.

Plenty of other larger cabinets to be had elsewhere
