TBB dropped by a Half

[link to this post]

Hi all,
My TBB seems to be down by half since I was forced to join SKY compared to my old ISP; is that bad?
Any ideas why it would be less than before.

Date Down TBB Down HTTPx6 Upstream ISP
Thu 17/04/14 09:03 9.14 Mbps 14.75 Mbps 0.83 Mbps Sky
Sat 11/01/14 20:55 15.07 Mbps 14.75 Mbps 1.01 Mbps BE

Have you go actual line stats to compare rather than just speed tests?

Sky are more conservative on noise margin than Be so you could have gone from 3dB noise margin to 7dB (or more). Sky very much go for stability over speed. But, without line stats just guessing.

EDIT : Actually re-reading your stats (which are difficult due to the way the forum displays them) it is just the HTTPx1 that seems to be suffering which suggests there is probably some conjestion in the sky network.

Need to see the graphs to see if the reason is contention or some other issue, e.g. could be MTU issues that multiple downloads somehow negate
