Wrong cabinet info

[link to this post]

The dsl checker (www.dslchecker.bt.com) is reporting that my line is connected to a cabinet that's obviously wrong (the cab is miles away yet i have a attn of 3.5 and SNR of 15 - directly connected to the exchange)

I'd like to get this corrected now so that when FTTC comes to my area there's no confusion/delays when i come to upgrade.

thanks

What does this checker have to say about your telephone number? The table and the line above it that tells you the excheaneg and cabinet. (Edit out your number or address).

Do Not use the pure postcode checker. Phone number or full address only.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 56.6/14.1Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

If you're directly connected to the exchange, you won't be able to get FTTC.

That's the same checker that i used and reports the wrong cab.

@BatBoy - BDUK are funding some FTTC twins and network rearrangement for EO lines.

Presumably that will involve connecting you to a cabinet.

Does the Full Address checker give the same cabinet?

You should try contacting BT_Care https://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/4950

The address checker reports the same incorrect cab, although interestingly the address checker estimates the speed at upto 2Mb.

The number checker estimates upto 8Mb (which is what i actually receive)
