Provider changeover today, lost sync a hour ago

Just over a hour ago lost my sync to internet(fibre) the old plusnet router shows a red light for internet but green for broadband and says authfailed in router.

Sky router just has a red light for sync but the strangest thing is the phone still is under plusnet.

Are they doing work now or has plusnet just decativated me early.

Probably just plusnet login turned off.

12 hours on and still nothing and phone still with plusnet, awkward but I guess nothing I can do.

Phone now works with Sky but internet still has a red face for internet, when plugged into the old openreach modem the dsl light goes green so just seems a wait for authentication.

Just a thought, you got one of those all in one Sky routers ? Try it connected on it's own, maybe the fibre work in the cab ain't been done, and what you are seeing is Sky DSL ??

Connect the sky router on its own without the modem. I am pretty sure that's how it should be assuming you have the latest sky router.

Authentication for a new router can take a couple of hours on sky so just leave it be overnight hopefully tomorrow it'll be all up and ready smile

It might not help, but I found on my Sky router (I've got the Openreach modem + Sky Router combo which I prefer anyhow), I had to go into the router and specifically tell it to use WANoE and stop trying ADSL as it sits there for a good 20 minutes sometimes otherwise looking for ADSL sync on the ADSL port, and doesn't think to try the Ethernet side.

Also, in my case, the troubleshooter tells you to connect the openreach modem to the wrong Ethernet port too.

I've found it works in ANY ethernet port. Agree with you about the ADSL side of things.
