Taking the 'with peripherals' concept a bit too far? (eBay)

[link to this post]

It's always good to include accessories with your eBay items, but I think this seller (click) has taken things a bit too far!

I'd love to know how the seller has managed to include their Openreach NTE5, but not the interstitial filter or faceplate.

Of course, it's possible that this NTE5 didn't come from the VDSL line at all. I have had an Openreach engineer scrap working NTE5s to replace them with the latest variant, so there's a couple of Openreach NTE5s in my parts box. It's just that the item gives the impression that the seller ripped everything out when ceasing his FTTC service, including the NTE5.

it is an odd set.

The 2 lan cables should be part of the HH package which he has kept aside, and as you said that nte5 cover is only part of whats needed over the socket.
