So Openreach Triage has come back to me by email with a provisional date of the end of march for my cabinet being commissioned fully. We'll see.

So Digital Durham says the work on the cabinet is complete and it is just down to Openreach to activate the cabinet and a go live date is imminent and to keep checking the openreach web checker.

What status is the checker at now? Connect or activate?

Just keep an eye on the cabinet for the silver lock.

Once that's on, you're days away.

My cab is also part of Digital Durham's BDUK roll out. Openreach are awaiting a quote from Northern Power Grid though for ours frown

Checker still at connect but just been to have a look and there is a huge security lock on the cabinet and it is humming inside. Which is the quickest way to check if its open for orders. The openreach checker which says it can be 2 weeks behind or the wholesale availability checker?

Wholesale. BTW are always the first.

When Openreach say it is open for orders they mean orders from their customers, the CPs. (Communications Providers, of which ISPs are a subset).

Then it's up to the CPs to make it available to their ISPs and thereby end users.

Still worth checking the Openreach one, which will raise your spirits earlier. At that point it's pretty certain it won't be long.

Another clue is if the forecast date disappears completely from the one I linked to. Usually 2-3 days after than it comes back with the initial estimates and "Available". At that point ISPs can order.

Ah. BDUK or similar. BT Wholesale knows nothing about it until Openreach declares it accepting orders. Then they have to get their act together to make sure they can release it to ISPs for ordering.

I wonder if there is a chance TT or Sky might start supplying on it first? By a few days, if at all.
