Ignore BT Wholesale Speed Checker, its broken, it told me my Infinity 4 connection was giving me 1.55Gbps tongue

I say go with using TBB Speedtest and Speedtest.net

The DSLReports one which is using multiple locations is not much better, suggesting things do not look good.

Are speeds better around breakfast time?

As some areas schools may still be on holiday the usual peak may have shifted to include more of the daytime hours.

It may suggest a problem with your PC to router link.

What are your line stats? And how are you connecting? Wired or Wireless?

I'm using an Asus DSL-AC56U and I know it sounds stupid but the only stat I can find is the SNR which is 5.5, I have looked through everything to no avail. frown Connecting wirelessly. Currently on PC - phone, ipad etc all send similar speed reports.
Unfortunately I am unable to connect via Ethernet just now to try that.

If teh SamKnows box is reporting 37/8 on a wired connection to the router and you are seeing the speeds you report which are way lower then it starts to point to a wireless interface issue. It could be severe interference, or a failing transmitter stage in the Asus.

Without actual connection stats and inability to get a wired connection there is little else to suggest as to the cause. You could try powering everything down, waiting for an hour and then bringing it all back up - but before that see if there is any way to get a wired connection to teh router.
