Speedify

[link to this post]

Has anybody used speedify.com before (for a reasonable length of time)?

I've taken a month and have been using it during the evenings, and it seems to be working very well.

I'm using it with my BT Infinity connection, where I usually get around 8.2-8.4MB/s download speeds, and when I mix in my (very expensive, but work pays for) Three 4G connection, by plugging my iPhone in via USB and using it's hotspot, my speed is sometimes over double that. I can get a fairly stable 12-14MB/s and it peaks at 19MB/s.

I'm curious if anyone else has had better/worse experiences with them?

I'd be interested to know how you find it.

Well its only been a few hours but it is not working well for me

i get less speed when use my 4G connect and wifi at the same time on my phone and on my laptop

Huawei P20 Pro -

4G ~ 11.2MB/s
FTTC ~ 7.6MB/s
Combined ~ 12.5MB/s

Laptop -

4G ~ 10.7MB/s
FTTC ~ 7.6MB/s
Combied ~ 12.3MB/s

I've made sure the settings are set to "always on" and tested a few servers with similar results

I used Speedtest.net/Wifiman/NetworktoolsPRO while also using speedifys own test

they all roughly give about the same readings

I'll play with them over the next few days and see how it goes

Sounds similar to boosty from sharedband which I tried a few years back.

BT FTTP - Superfast Fibre 3 Unlimited. 205 Mbps down / 24 Mbps up.

New build estate that wasnt given anything Id call broadband. First four years 1.6 Mbps ADSL. Following two years, and after many openreach visits, 4.3 Mbps!

Out of Interest, what machine are you using?

I tried initially with an old Intel NUC Celeron PC, and I had similar results to you - each individual connection performed better than the two when combined.

As soon as I tried on my main Mac Pro 2013, I got massively improved results (indicating to me, that my old NUC was the bottleneck).

Fair enough.

These are my 2 tests from tonight:

BT Infinity alone

BT Infinity bonded with Three 4G

TBH, I've had much better results in the mornings, but it's a good improvement for me on a Friday night.
