Which video card from these two?

[link to this post]
I'm considering this 1GB card and this 512MB one, both Sapphire ATI and passively-cooled for an overclocked core i7 system used mainly for multimedia creation and editing with a some game playing.

Other than the price difference, I guess it's a question of whether the extra VRAM is better than the faster GPU, but I'm as I'm no expert, any advice on which of these two to choose would be much appreciated.

TIA

Johno

Depends on your resolution, yes your resolution tongue i.e. screen size.

But to be honest both aren't going to fly. The extra vram will make no difference on those cards as they can't handle high resolution or the extras.

My screen is 1920x1200

I won't be doing much game playing on my system, mostly media creation (photo and video) so games performance isnt' that important

I'm using Photoshop CS4 - so which video card should I get as a minimum spec?
I'm surprised that the 4670 is insufficient for smooth use with PS CS4....

Well I can get away with using a x300, but I don't work with anything beyond desktop resolutions.

This was an interesting read: http://www.deskeng.com/articles/aaarpx.htm
But somehow I don't find my self rushing off to buy a quadro.

Not saying it wouldn't be sufficient but more the case if you can afford say a faster card than do it.
