Anyway to see the system boot log?

[link to this post]

I've got a windows 7 computer and I've noticed on the boot up, before it gets to loading windows it beeps. I just happened to glance at the screen as the beep happened and noticed something flashed up 'not found'.

Is there any program or way for me to read the screen when it flashes up like that?

For Windows boot messages, linky.

For BIOS messages, you will need to consult your motherboard's documentation.
