Hyperoptic now supplies dual band 2.4/5Ghz routers. For those interested, it's the ZTE ZXHN H298A model. Much improved speed over Wifi. I'm getting up to 200Mbit up/down over wifi when I'm close to the router.

Very impressed, especially as I'm coming from a 11MBit/s slow ADSL2+ connection.

Watch out though - when you use your own equipment the default response from support is that they cannot help you as you use your own equipment.

My phone line started dropping last few weeks, every time they restart the SIP service their end but when i ask for it to be investigated, the response is that well because i use my own router they cannot.

I would expect to plug the hyperhub back in to prove the fault wasn't with my kit if I had replaced the router though. I don't think that's being unreasonable.

So are you upgrading everyone for free, with no contract renewal, to benefit from the new router?

Have you tried port forwarding on your ZXHN H298A, because I'm locked out.

Do you have a static IP?

With CGNAT port forwarding when behind a carrier grade NAT may explain why its disabled

Yes I have a static IP, but there are no port forwarding pages visible in the ZTE H298A router (as shipped). I had ask them to forward ports, which they happily did, also requested they make port forwarding visible within the router so I can do it myself.
