Out of interest has anybody plugs the sky box into the router and seen the endless connections it trys to establish?

Plugged mine in to see what would happen, was connecting to about 10 different ip addresses!

Hi,

This looks to be available for order and working as of today see:-

I am on Zen FTTC and after a few seconds to buffer content is available to start view.

Mark.

Hi Mark,

Have you noticed how many connections your Sky box seems to open if you look at the Nat table one your router?

Think im only going to plug mine in as and when required!

I am with Plusnet ..got it working now with wired to wireless ..then a wireless bridge. Works fine. Homeplugs would work just as well with ethernet cables.

Mind you only ITV payer is there and it has far less content than the online version. Pretty poor. However at least I can get the boxset version of season one game of thrones

Hi,

I guess it depends on you subscription. I don't have movies or sport, so both this and sky go are of limited use. I am more likely to find content to watch on iplayer.

Hi,

Can't access the NAT table in my router so have no idea what it is doing. Can't be using any bandwidth as that has stayed in check.

Lets hope sky don't start to moan that my box isn't plugged into the phone line, it's probably reported that back to base too.

Have only used it once this month (been away) and it was faultless.
