BBC iPlayer Problem

[link to this post]

iPlayer seem to have stopped working. It was working fine on Thursday.

First all my downloads disappeared from the desktop interface, so I moved the repository and re-installed iPlayer in a different directory (also re-installed Adobe AIR). Now I can't download any programmes at all.

Any suggestions please?

Isn't this an deprecated method?

I think they no longer do it by a client app on PC but now entirely by streaming from website.

This happened to me as well. (Windows 7) Don't have a solution, just confirming it isn't just you.

It followed a Flash Air update although that may just be coincidence. (I reverted to previous version but that didn't help.)

The desktop version uses Adobe Air.

It isn't deprecated.

OK, then why aren't I now offered it when I login to iPlayer site? Or have I missed it?

Fixes on this thread (different forum) seem to work. See page five if you have existing downloads you want to preserve
