You will see the slideshow on week 2 delivered by an area manager. The new engineer pathway puts everyone on the same pay. You must multi skill to move up the scale

I too start at Yarnfield on the 5th September - probably see you there! Can't wait now!
Just sent an email with my clothing sizes on so just a waiting game now.

So I received my uniform today. Most of it fits and is pretty decent quality.

Is the hi-vis jacket supposed to be so huge? I've got the smallest size as well! The waterproof trousers are on the large side too but I doubt I'll be using them too often

That's Good Luke,Mine'S The Same Mate.Jacket seems on the big side Also.
But I don't think I'll be wearing it often although I'm taking it with me first week to try a different size just in case.

But FVR do the underground training in the first 12 weeks which is a £3000 pay rise,thats what the openreach lads who were at yarnfield doing the ug training told us,suppose will have to wait and see then.All i can think of then is since may there has been an extra course for Calomi to do aswell then to put there money up.As i said we will have to see,got to get the training over with anyway before any pay rises

FVR have to do the customer wiring course to get the extra 3k. Same as us Calomi guys need to get U/G to get the extra 3k so its all fair across the board!

I'm starting on the 7th August too but as I live so close to Yarnfield I'll be commuting each day. Finish my current job on Monday and then a nice week off with the family before starting. Have you had your uniform yet?

No not yet,had train tickets through but thats about it ,lucky to live so close,I'll be away from the family for the weeks.No job title yet either

I start 7th August... got my train tickets yesterday. Should get to stone 18:07... or I could get the slightly later train and arrive 19:07....
