Ghostrocket,

I also start on 2nd October and can't wait. I have been told that I will be doing FVR. Does anyone have a bit more info on this role. I have gone through this thread and whilst there is snippets here and there not to much.

My assessment day was at Bedford on 9th August got the call the following day offering me the job. Any other chaps here undertake that same day?

Luke

You will be working on the distributers side maintaining and fixing joints. It's a dirty job with the cables being all greasy but it's the best role to have imo!

You also get your underground training smile

When I got the email to say I got the job I didn't get told what role I had, so emailed back and asked and was told BCD which I understand is pretty good to do. However, I'm not 100% certain as this was just email from a BT recruitment advisor and I have no paper work to confirm this.

I know you tend to find out on your first day of training.... have to wait and see smile

I got the disappointing "we have filled all roles in your area" email today. Instantly signed up for the trainee engineer 2018 pipeline jobs. Guess it's another year until i get an interview. Any one else get the same email?
