Thanks. I've always driven small cars and never drove a van before so kind of nervous but hopefully it will be okay.

You will be fine, they drive just a like a bigger car, and watch your mirrors all the time smile

Hi guys newbie here, just thought I'd say I've got a start date for the 5th Feb, can't wait to start. They will be getting in touch with me soon to give me tasks to do, what do these involve? Also when do you get a van? Is it early on or is it later in training?

The tasks are basically giving your reference details and applying for Disclosure Scotland form.

Iím in the same boat I have filled in all my paperwork and have been given a start date of 22nd and to wait on a phone call in the next week from a manager with more details about yarnfield.
Already sorted with a suitcase for all the stuff I will receive.

Now Iíve seen numerous things online but I donít know how much is true,

Do BT organise your travel to yarnfield?
And do you receive your van on the last day to drive home ?

I canít seem to find a 100% answer to these questions some have said they got there vans at the end of the week others have said they have got the train back home.

I went through the recruitment process at the end of 2017. I've not long gone 'live'

We got two weeks in Yarnfield but I heard this year its only one week. In any case..

Yes, your travel will be arranged for you. I got an email with train ticket details about a week before I was due to travel and another email on the Thursday before my start date with details of exactly where to go, what to do etc

With the vans we did a driving assessment, which you do in pairs, during the first week. Everyone worries about this buts its just a short drive for each of you so absolutely nothing to worry about! On the Friday of our first week we all got in a coach to a place called Magna Park where we got our vans.

Noone in our intake of around 70 got the train home.
