OR are definitely looking to take on civils as we had a email about it last week. I dont think they take on teams as such so you and your mate will both have to apply.

Good luck.

Iím starting on the same day, Iím an internal applicant as I already work for BT so I havenít had to do any of the paperwork nonsense! Looking forward to moving onwards and upwards though! The training sounds daunting from the outside but Iím sure people on here have said apply yourself and give it your all and youíll be fine!

Yarnfield is only a week now and we get our van at the end of the week, then you use it to travel home in and to drive to and from your training centre.

Monday to Friday but if you fail any module you have to catch up at the weekends.

Any tips and advice for Yarnfield or training beyond?

training centres not open at weekend, there are no modules u can fail that will disrupt any training schedules,if u fail driving assesment u do it week after with next intake and nothing else to fail really,if u fail streetworks u will just fit it in with another class when rest of ur group is buddying, the only course really thats a staight pass or fail when they cant help u is the dropwire one as its a week long but the only people who fail anything are those that are stupidly dangerous or gob off to lecturers, they are not designed to be pass/fail,if ur struggling u will be helped as long as u ask,we had a lad that was allways last, just really slow as allways over thinking so we all used to finish then help him out, they love that sort of stuff and it gets u finished quicker, eapecially on a friday!!

Just received an email inviting me to an assessment centre in 2 weeks time. Delighted as was getting worried waiting over the Xmas break. Time to get studying. Will be looking back through all the forums for anything I've missed.

You think they will still be doing the wiring of the plug test? Been a while so will have a few goes of that over the weekend.
