I have heard they are looking to recruit 2500 engineers this year but different locations will have different amount of people required.

I would definitely get an application in. If you log into the BT job page you can see what jobs you have applied for and what status they are on. If the most recent is closed/unsuccessful then get another in just incase.

Hi Frazmataz666 - I got an email last week from Openreach saying that I'm being considered for 2018 intake and they hope to be in touch soon with an assessment centre date (or words to that effect). As I have already done the situational strengths and video interview I don't need to do them again.

Have you applied again? Or did you put in a speculative application late last year? I done the latter and genuinely forgot I'd done it when I got an email about the situational test in November. Worth applying again or chasing it up as I'm not sure if they carry everyone's application on from the previous year?

I think they have a max of 12 at each sitting, so Glasgow has 2 assessment days with both AM and PM slots. So a max of 48 people perhaps? Rough guess.

Some assessment days elsewhere started as early as the 4th of January, so they are definitely rolling it out much quicker this year. Best of luck!

My application from last year was carried over. I have already done the situational strengths and video interview - they've told me I don't have to do them again.

Jbs89 - Does Glasgow just have two assessment days?

Not sure. Was merely hypothesising as they offered a choice of two. I imagine there would be more days throughout the year.

I was only offered a choice of two as well. I'd imagine there will be more throughout the year though.
