Would be annoying to have to wait to hear. Maybe you only hear quickly if you were top of the list or bottom of the list haha. No news is good news as they say.

You guys have really all done well! It's a great start to the year. Does anyone want to come down and do mine for me tongue

I also have a week holiday in May and I am sure they will work it all out. It must be a massive job recruiting all these people and getting all the training running.

Anyone else in Leicester or East Midlands heard anything about assessment center? I received this last week

"We hope you’re well!

We just wanted to drop you an email to give you an update on your application for the Openreach Trainee Engineer role.

As you have been successful so far by passing both the online Strengths Test and the Video Interview, we are now in the process of matching candidates like yourself to where our vacancies are located. This will enable us to select the right people to attend our assessment centres."

I would just enjoy your weekend off, most people found out the Tuesday after.
The best way to think about it is that you cant do anything else now and the fact your on here and seem really keen I'm sure would of came across at the assessment so dont worry too much!

I know they said at the assessment if you had holidays in first 12 weeks they would push back your start date until after.
The example he actually gave was having holiday in may then would start in the June training.
Obviously because they are starting groups every week then its flexible with start dates.

Cheers mate. Yeah definitely a keen bean, so hoping that came across on the day haha. 5 working days is actually a really quick turnaround to hear, but still plays on your mind until you know.

Hi all,

First post on here, I've got my assessment centre in Norwich on the 8th February PM session. I feel a little apprehensive but reading this thread has made me a lot less nervous than I would normally expect, thanks for all the pointers.

Welcome to the forum. I hope it goes well for you. You are wise to have a read through this massive thread as there are helpful bits here and there.

I have my assessment on the 1st Feb but I have to drive to Ipswich. Fingers crossed for us both!
