I had my assessment centre on Wednesday (in Exeter) and got an email on Friday to say I have passed, but not to hand my notice into my current employers yet, as due to high demand they will contact me soon with provisional job details. So happy. Just hope I donít have to wait too long.

Just wondering about clothes for the assessment centre as the email says smart casual, trousers and shirt. I would expect to go to something like this in a suit, answers on a postcard please?

Everyone that did the assessment with me were wearing smart trousers and shoes and a smart shirt and tie.

Would suggest minimum shirt and tie.

A few in our assessment were fully suited but up to you I guess!

I opted for a suit, but I don't think either option makes a difference. As long as it's not too casual of course. I think a shirt and tie is the bare minimum I'd be comfortable with personally though. The assessors will be more casual, but you are looking to make an impression and show them you take it seriously of course.

Shirt, tie and jacket. It is an interview after all. There was a few on mine that had trousers and trendy untucked shirt on, just didnt look right. Not a night on the bevy and dancing.

Congrats, mate. You'll be looking forward to starting I bet! When did you pass the assessment and hear about your start date out of curiosity?
