Appreciate you coming back on to offer any assistance mate, how have you found your first 6 months then? What area do you work in? Have you been out working on your own yet or are you still buddying up with an experienced engineer?

I have an assessment on the 1st. I am well prepared for it but I really don't want to fail it again. I got rejected last year. I think I had an assessment just shortly after you. I think i would love this job so I really want to get it this time! I am glad you are enjoying it.

What would you say is the most difficult part of the training?

Hi mate, is the training as hard as some have made out on this forum? Do you think there is anything you could prepare for to make the first few weeks at Openreach any easier?
Really looking forward to starting and getting stuck in.
Cheers!

Just got an email today giving more detail about the week and how we go home for the weekend. I'll get more info about where I'm staying next week for week 2 it says.

I passed the assessment centre in December but had an email a couple of weeks ago saying there were no vacancies in my area (far north of Scotland) and was expecting a long wait for news but got a call today to say they want me start on the 5th of March so I'm well chuffed.
