I start my on 12th March. Was told first 6 weeks would be in Yarnfield. Is this normal? That quite a lot of miles for my new van coming to and from Cornwall each week. Eek.

Good news. I'm also starting on the 5th so we may bump into each other.

Alright,

Firstly no the vans donít have sat-nav, however your work phone does.

In regards to training and driving home - at the end of each week youíll be free to drive home from Yarnfield on a Friday after training and then drive back on a Sunday evening ready for training on Monday morning. If your journey is deemed too far you can ask to stay and theyíll put you up in a hotel.

Ouch! Hopefully they got that wrong for your sake mate. Basically thats 10hrs of your 48hrs off a week spent travelling in the van! Unless they let you go Early on a Friday?

Alright folks! Hope everyone is well.

Just been having a browse through this forum, all very interesting.
I'm in Northern Ireland (it's a wee place across the water from you lot, just keep going left)
I passed my video interview last week and I am waiting to see if there are any Assessment Centres happening over here.
I haven't seen N.Ireland mentioned much in this forum so I expect to hear something in the next 5 years or so.

I'm sure there is a high demand over here now, with the recent introduction of the Internet.

Anyway, hope you guys are all successful with your applications and someday we'll all be co-workers smile

Thanks. When I was driving home this morning I was going over some stuff in my head and I felt very confident. But that keeps coming and going tongue
