Congratulations on getting yours through mate, think you might be the only one from Glasgow assessment.
For me awaiting the start date is the worst as Iíve essentially been offered a job for some random point in the future. What region do you think youíll be based? I think they had me down for West Dunbartonshire/Paisley area.

Yeah it is a bit odd that they tell people they pass and that some have a role, some don't, and then there's a long wait to hear your start date as well.

Ah cool. I know both of those areas quite well, so that would have suited me, but I got given Stirling area which is completely unknown to me haha weird!

Theyíve not said thatís where Iíll be based but Iím from that area so just assuming thatís where theyíll put me. Iíd have been quite happy with Stirling, I lived there for 4 years while I was at university.

Thatís annoying that you done yours on the 4th and are still waiting. I was hoping for a quick turnaround with this.

I have 5 areas they were recruiting for around within 30 mins of my post code and about another 3 up to about an hour. I could even hit Edinburgh in an hour so who knows how they pick.

Have folks been told their role that have training dates?

I have got my contract yesterday and it lists my job as trainee engineer nothing more specific than that.

It also has the name of the exchange I will be working from. I am a little surprised by the distance as the postcode they quote for it is around an hour and a half drive from home. I am in the far north of Scotland so didn't expected it to be on my doorstep but it is a long way.

Glad you have your contract.

Sounds a trek but you may not be at the exchange that much, from what I have heard you mostly just get jobs from home as thats where your van and gear will be.

When do you start in Yarnfield?
