Is there anybody on here in the Manchester area been given a start date? I did my assessment in Leeds on the 24th Jan, then I found out on the 26th Jan that I had passed so just waiting patiently now!

I passed my assessment day. I am now just waiting for a job offer and start date. smile I am so happy. I have a week of holiday booked in May so I am not expecting a start date any time soon.

Congratulations, fingers crossed for tomorrow for me.

From what I've read on here the travel details all seem to be last minute. I've completed all the online tasks bar receiving my disclosure Scotland so just got sit back and wait for them to get in touch.
Loads to do sorting out handover info with my current job so that will keep me busy until my last day next week. Then 2 weeks off to get stuff done at home as I don't think there will be a lot of spare time once I start.

I had a phone call today. They want me to star the 12th March. So they need to get the contract and offer to me this week as I would have to hand my notice in on Monday.

I mentioned about my holiday and she said the policy is no holiday in the first 8 week which my holiday would be week 9 which should be OK. But at the moment it can't be guaranteed.

Applied mid January and seemed to fly through the process up until now. Received an email inviting me to assessment yesterday. Go in work for my night shift and book the date off(which was in a weeks time) and email the HR rep requesting the date. She emails back stating my chosen date is full but there is one the day after, I immediately request that instead and hear nothing in return until late on in the day that they're all full and I can attend a month later instead. Nothing has been particularly hard about the process so far and I'm not worried about the assessment, feel as though I'm going through the motions to secure a job really so it's incredibly frustrating to be given such an unnecessary delay, especially given the emphasis they place on customer service when it seems to have failed me somewhat.

Anyhow I've emailed back stating I'm willing to travel further afield for an assessment if it means getting it wrapped up.

This thread has been a pretty good insight, best of luck to all.

I did the assessment centre in Birmingham last Tuesday and still havenít heard anything yet. How long have most of you had to wait before getting an answer?
