Hello

Sorry if this has already been answered but there are too many pages to look through!
Could anyone tell me what the monthly take home salary would be during then after completion of your first 12 months?
I currently take home around £1800 a month, is this possible to earn? How much over time would I need to do?
Iíd be in the north west area if that helps.
Thanks

u av took a massive pay cut, take home on flat month £1350 after tax and pension then after 12 months it goes up to just under £26000 so take home is around £1650/£1700 but u would prob av to do every saturday and still prob wouldnt touch £1800 for first 12 months.i am fvr so u cant do overtime as its non profit making but now i have been upskilled to do fibre 8 installations i can as they make money. My mates who are calomi do some overtime but not loads available,u av to volunteer and then its down to manager but none of them did any for first 3 months until live as they dont want u on time and a half if ur asking for help as not sure.Hope that clears it up for u mate.

seriously if ur lass is due to give birth before ur 12 weeks is up dont leave it to chance let them know asap, unless the training has been cut short its no hols for 12 weeks not 8 and u can not miss any time off as u need to pass all the training before u can go live. i saw so many people literally on breakdown last year as they never said anything about hols on assesment thinking it wiuld be ok to tell them at yarnfield and were told NO u aint going!!!Babies obviously different but if ur paternity leave clashes with any training they will delay ur live date or some people had to give up their start date and start later in year, best advice is to let them know asap and get it confirmed

Sheís the one for keeping the starting date ! The email does say 12 weeks but highlights in bold no cut off for 8, Iím not bothered about maternity pay just would like few days off when it arrives itís our 2nd so kinda know whatís involved, I have said to the person thatís emailed me but I think once contract comes through Iíll just mention if it can be put on my file anywhere

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
Iíve only passed the video interview,it was last year but was told there was no more jobs in my area at that time but theyíd keep me on record and be in touch this year to get me in for the interview.
They emailed me last Friday to say they were in the process of sorting the assessment days.
So I might not even be offered a job lol.
Thanks again tho

£23500 plus 10% bonus(£2350) £25850 and the bonus is non production based as they cant work out a fair way so giving it to all on the new contracts, union say its fixed for next 2 years as it stands

Go on thesalarycalculator.co.uk and you can play around and figure it out. You will struggle to reach that I think unless you are able to do a couple of extra Saturdays every month.

It's decent money, but it's more the opportunity to join a company this size which is the appealing bit. Hopefully has plenty of possibilities long term.

I'd be curious to hear from any of the other guys who started similar time last summer about the time pressure completing jobs and how they find it. Only thing I'm concerned about. I pick things up pretty quickly and will always do a decent job, but I don't know how quick I'll be haha. Have heard a couple of horror stories now...
