In reply to a post by Williams1995:
Are people told before if there doing fibre jointing?

There were only 6 out of 60 on our intake doing it and they had all been told,i think its less common so will only be if theres an apprentice needed in your area. There was one lad from london who thought he was off to the london training centre after yarnfield but was told on day 1 he was fibre jointing and was going to bolton so you will receive an email with your training centre on for after yarnfield but would ignore it until you get to yarnfield on day 1 as things can change depending on geographical need

I had thought the same. Had it for years. Well controlled and hypo aware so shouldn't make any difference and your right it may be a point of discrimination.

Successfull applicant from dundee here. Original start date was 25th of September but have recently been moved to 10th of July, still don't have my contract or tasks yet so a bit worried. Anyone else in the same boat?

I was offered a start date 7 weeks away. It took nearly 2 weeks to get an official contract emailed through after the phone call with the start date. Then you will usually hear something every week after that with tasks to complete.

Had assessment centre yesterday, really enjoyed it.
Hoping for that call or email now...
If you get a call, what sort of number is it, I believe the people who send the emails are based in Budapest?

I got a phone call and this came from a mobile number but have had other phone calls since from 0131 and 0330 numbers.
