Just joined, cheers for the link. Hoping to hear this week in relation to an offer. Had an email last night about pre employment checks so I am hopeful.

Re: Assessment Centre

I have my assessment centre next Wednesday, and had a question regarding the maths test.

Is it as simple as you say? Just basic maths? Im wondering whether or not to brush up on things like areas of shapes and pythagoras, calculations that may require a formula to solve. These have popped up on other maths assessments ive attended in the past, but im just wondering if its worth my time doing it for this?

Any other examples of the type of maths involved?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Itís functional maths so for example I had to work out the area of a garden and then a fence for the garden, it starts easy and gets harder as you move on but itís not a test just to see what level you are working at. Iím presuming itís for the NVQ you will undertake if you are successful.

Thank you.

Are there any websites you recommend for brushing up on the maths thats relevant?

I dont want to waste too much time preparing for things that may not come up.
