So here's a bit about what i want to do. in December im going to be switching to a FTTC provider for the extra upload. What i want to do is set a atom based system up and set a VPN server up on it so that i can just put files on there and my friend can connect via VPN (with windows 7) and securely get the files when he need/wants them.
The system i plan on using is a Intel Atom 330 dual core+HT (4thread) with 2gig DDR2 with a 1TB HDD. basically powerful enough for the job but silent cool and good on power to leave on 24/7.
Can any one suggest a Linux distro that would be best for this purpose as i said before ive always used Windows (XP) in the past to set up a vpn connection so not familiar with the best Linux for the job.
Any help is very much appreciated.
