OpenSUSE 11.4 Wireless Issue

[link to this post]

Ive installed OS on my laptop and all is well.. apart from my wireless.

In network connections the wireless tab is grayed out, like i dont have wireless.

But, after running lspci command i can see my wireless card is listed.

Its a Realtek 8191 b/g/n

How can i get my wireless to work?

Have you worked through the 'how to set up a connection manually' section of the second link I gave you?

Yes but again... lspci lists my card.. but other than that OS thinks i dont have one.

iwconfig shows only my wired Ethernet no wireless to be seen so i cant set it up manually.

Did you try looking for error messages with dmesg | less?

installed the firmware for the card ? often needs to be done as a separate activity as not free software
