dual monitors

[link to this post]

i am running mint Debian edition and thought i would put my old monitor on as a second screen, an acer 4:3 screen. Big mistake, now I have got no display what so ever.

works fine in windows, I will have to go into rescue mode or what ever it is called and use something called randr, so this could be fun.
Not doing it at the moment, going out for some air.
