DVD to iPad Conversion

Hi,

I have just got a new iPad and am looking for free software to convert some of my DVD's so that they can be added to the iPad. Any recommendations?

I use Handbrake - free and works very well. Not sure it rips DVDs though.

On my iPad, I use It's Playing for files on my iPad and AcePlayer for files on my network.

I've just been trying some dvdvideosoft stuff that seems to do the job

NOTE: it tries to install a toolbar and search settings unless you say no

Thanks all. I found 2 programs to help with this:

1. DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD onto my hard-drive
2.Videora iPad Converter to them into MPEG4 for iTunes.

Handbrake works well with the quality slider set to 25. The average DVD will come out around 400mb.

You'll also need to install vlc player to enable handbrake to decrypt the DVD.
