I didn't believe that could be true until I checked in the Apple online store. Words fail me; how can anyone think such an ugly device fits the Apple image? I guess this is the end result of the idiotic quest for the thinnest possible phone (along with the decision to do away with the headphone socket).

One of the great things is I can charge the phone and the case separately smile

The entire industry is fixated on this. Why don't they get it that users want phones that hold enough charge for several day's use. When it was new, my current Nokia lasted over a week with light usage, and several days with moderate use. Hang thinness. Give us bigger batteries, but not like this.

My phone works fine without an external battery. It has a replaceable battery if I really needed more life and couldn't charge it overnight.

It's only a small example but it reminds me of the stuff that Apple were producing before Jobs came back on board. Expect more of the same now that he's gone.
