Why is that unfortunate? It's my private information - so dam right I did.

I assume it was either a referral to get office/outlook cheaper or a link to somewhere to download a dodgy copy.

Or one of my spare licence keys, but thanks for the pre judgement.

As I have had business premium on an annual basis since it was released, I don't do "dodgy copies"

Well sorry I can't see how it would anyway. I admit I did send him a link to my google drive with all the .dmg files to download - but they are the same he would get from the download link and still require a key to activate - so in my view, perfectly fine. I assigned a key so that he couldn't log in on my main details and see all my info - but if I had put it on the forum it would have probably been used by someone else as it's a 1 time use but can be used with the trial that anyone can download.

OK, so that is a 3rd option - wasn't judging just suggesting possible reasons you would want to hide it. Refusing to say that in the first place seems odd. So, it is one of your spare "business premium" licenses - so they are transferable to others that aren't part of your business then? I have the home premium one but that doesn't allow you to give licenses to people that don't live in the same home.

Fair enough, I apologise for mis judging your response.

I am not sure on that one - I had home for about 2 months and I did give a key to my friend but never had an issue - as long as you send them the exe/dmg which is downloaded from your install page there should be no issues with using the licence key.

On Business I can give others access with a shareable link, but only up to the 5 naturally. For all they know I could be giving a key to someone at another site the other side of the world.

That is a cool benefit of the business one then - and it seems about the same price as the home version as well. Might be something to consider when I come to renew - thanks for the heads up.

The business license is for you to use on 5 of your PCs. If you want to share with others, they will need their own product key.
