FTTC Warning

[link to this post]

Had a call from Richard about getting FTTC due to [censored] speeds and regular cutoffs by the people at Be, was told I would be have to pay £60 for the line upgrade and nothing else, ie free router like last time. so was quite shocked to get a bill for just under £270

Seems there is a need for the july bill to cover august and september as well, the amounts are confusing and a bit hard to tell what the final rate is going to be

ADSL Monthly Charge £25.00 (For period 21 Aug 2012 to 20 Sep 2012 )
ADSL Monthly Charge £33.04 (For period 31 Jul 2012 to 30 Aug 2012 )
Total: £58.04 VAT @20.00%: £11.61 Invoice Total: £69.65

ADSL INSTALL (PROVIDE) Charge Date: 19/06/2012 £80.00
Supply of Wireless Router for FTTC Date: 28/06/2012 £50.00
ADSL Monthly Charge 01/07/2012 - 30/07/2012 £25.00
ADSL Monthly Charge 21/06/2012 - 30/06/2012 £7.50
ADSL REGRADE (MODIFY) Charge Date: 21/06/2012 £0.00
Total £162.50 VAT £32.50 Invoice Total £195.00

Looks like double charging

these are consecutive
21/06/2012 - 30/06/2012 £7.50
01/07/2012 - 30/07/2012 £25.00
31/07/2012 - 30/08/2012 £33.04
this one overlaps frown
21/08/2012 - 20/09/2012 £25

Generally speeds are good, the download speed varies from 35 to 25 mb, the upload is more important to me for photos and movie upload to my website and youtube

Just a heads up that anyone changing to FTTC needs to budget for a hell of a lot more then £60 frown

Would really have liked a [censored] reply, but guess the sales department are too [censored] busy [censored] people around ?

Ex vat Vat Total start end
ADSL Monthly Charge £7.50 £1.50 £9.00 21 Jul 2012 30 Jul 2012
ADSL Monthly Charge £25.00 £5.00 £30.00 1 Jul 2012 30 Jul 2012
ADSL Monthly Charge £33.04 £6.61 £39.65 31 Jul 2012 30 Aug 2012
ADSL Monthly Charge £25.00 £5.00 £30.00 21 Aug 2012 20 Sep 2012
£108.65

why do I get charged an additional £7.50 for 21st to 30th when I am already charged £25 for 1st to 30th july ?
again, why are you charging me for 21st to 30th august twice, it is already paid for in the £39.65

Posted a query on 2 July 2012 08:45, have had no [censored] reply

sent the above just now in an email, are you going to ignore that as well ?

the autofuckingreplies work fine, so why the [censored] can accocunts not work out that charging me double for the same [censored] time is not fair ?

I have to say that Merula does make mistakes on invoices. But they have always put them right. IME, they have always kept their word!

My Merula FTTC is working fine! smile
